HMDCB provides organizations that are interested in certifying multiple physicians during one application window the opportunity to receive a discount on the initial examination fee, advertisement opportunities, and/or webinar sponsorship. This provides an employer the unique opportunity to support the professional development of its Hospice Medical Director and/or physicians while also being recognized as an institution that invests in its staff.

Benefits of HMDCB Certification
HMDCB certification is a way for hospice leaders and other employers to have a baseline from which they can assess their physicians’ knowledge base in an equitable way across the five areas of focus on the HMDCB Content Blueprint – (1) Patient & Family Care, (2) Medical Knowledge, (3) Medical Leadership & Communication, (4) Professionalism, and (5) Regulatory, Compliance & Quality Improvement. The outcome of the assessment is the opportunity for employers to determine areas physicians need more education/training, which should help mitigate risk and enhance patient/family satisfaction. Additionally, since our certified physicians have shown their knowledge in compliance and regulatory areas, they can be effective partners to executive leadership and compliance teams when issues arise.
